Pröll - NoriCure HC-1 Series

Application Area
NoriCure® HC-1 is designed for printing on scratch-resistant, matte or textured PC films, PET films (e.g., MacDermid Autotype Autotex V200), and various PVC substrates. The protective varnish can be used as a window varnish for applications like screens or membrane switches. NoriCure® HC-1 is not suitable for "large" area printing or producing piano black effects.

Mesh
Polyester fabrics with mesh counts between 140 and 180 threads/cm (355 to 460 threads/inch) are suitable.

Stencil/Screen
UV ink and solvent-resistant emulsions should be used. Excellent results during long production runs can be obtained with Pröll emulsion Norikop 10 HQ.

Squeegee
Squeegees with an average hardness between 75° and 80° Shore are suitable.

UV Curing
For curing NoriCure® HC-1 ink layers printed with 150-31 T mesh (380 threads/inch), the required UV dose is approximately 400 mJ/cm² (Kühnast UV-Integrator, spectral range: UV 250 – 410 nm, max. 365 nm). The required UV dose depends on the color tone, ink layer thickness, and the type and color of the substrate. The dose should be adjusted according to these parameters to achieve sufficient curing.

Post-Curing
Printed NoriCure® HC-1 ink layers can also be post-cured without UV light. Optimal product properties are not achieved until the curing process is complete (approximately 24 – 48 hours).

Processing
Open ink containers or ink on stencils should be protected from direct sunlight.

Screen and Equipment Cleaning
UNI-REIN A III or UNI-CLEANER FP61 should be used.
