Kopimask - Zoico Polymer ESR

Red Photopolymer Emulsion
This is a red photopolymer emulsion that can be used with water-based paints, mixed paints, solvent-based paints, and oil-based paints. When used with FIXAPLAST, it is resistant to water-based systems.

Emulsion Sensitizing
The emulsion is already sensitized and ready for use. No additional sensitizing process is required.

Stencil Preparation
The stencil must be free from dust, dirt, residue, and ghost (shadow) images. To obtain a good stencil, degrease both sides of the stencil with PREPAMASK or KAUSTIMASK S, then rinse with water to remove any oil residues that may remain on the stencil.

Coating Process
Depending on the type of mesh, always begin by applying two coatings on both sides of the stencil to seal all pores. Allow the emulsion to dry completely at 35°C. After it dries, apply a 1+1 coating thickness on the printing side and dry again. This procedure helps you achieve the desired thickness and a smoother stencil.
This process should be repeated until the required thickness is achieved.

To ensure a good result, it is important to make sure the stencil is completely dry before exposure.

These qualities will not change, even if the process takes several hours.

Stencil Drying
Dry the stencil with the surface facing down in a completely dark room with red light, in a horizontal position, in a humid environment (30-40°C) with a slight air current. Avoid prolonged exposure to white light.

Temperature, humidity, and air current affect the drying time. The stencil must be fully dried before exposure to ensure high durability against inks and ink removers. Drying the stencil at temperatures higher than recommended or using different conditions may lead to undesirable results or different durability.

Exposure
Expose the stencil to UV light with a wavelength of 350-/400 nm. For the best results, use a halogen lamp. Since many factors affect exposure time, an exact time cannot be specified. We recommend conducting a pre-test.

Rinsing and Washing
The water temperature should be 20–26°C. Gently rinse both sides of the stencil. After 1-2 minutes of rinsing, wash the stencil with high-pressure water until the process is complete.

Post-Exposure
To increase durability, the exposure time should be extended by 2-4 times beyond the original exposure time.

Drying (With Chemical)
Once the stencil is completely dry, apply FIXAPLAST to both sides using a sponge and leave the stencil to dry in a horizontal position at 40-45°C for approximately 2 hours. It can also be dried at 22-25°C within 24 hours.

Once the stencil has been dried, removing the emulsion may become impossible.

Emulsion Removal
To remove the emulsion, use an emulsion remover like SCREEN STRIP or SERI CERO GEL/SERI CERO DRY. Before removing the emulsion, clean the stencil with DISOLIX ECO or ink residue cleaners.

Ghost/Shadow Removal
When ink residues or hardened emulsion leave ghost/shadow images, use KAUSTIMASK S, STARGEL 350, or ZERO GHOST to eliminate these marks. A mixture of KAUSTIMASK S and DISOLIX GEL is also an effective method for removing ink mist.
